2023 Be A Champion and Read Contest Information
The Alabama Education Association is excited to celebrate ten years of champion reading through its Be A Champion and Read contest. K-6 students are challenged to read six reading-level appropriate books to qualify for the Grand Prize: Iron Bowl tickets – one winner for each team – for the student and two guests. Each prize includes sideline passes and pre-game activities.
Participation in the contest is as easy as A-B-C:
A. To enter a child in the contest, a child must read six reading-level appropriate books.
B. Complete the book list on the reverse side of the parent letter (received from child's teacher.)
C. Return the completed book list to the child's teacher for a chance at the Grand Prize. The completed book list must be returned to your child's teacher before October 27, 2023.
Students must choose a team to represent and can only enter once.
Participation is limited to K-6 Alabama public school students.
